Water World Swim International
The Strait of Magellan is one of the most challenging open water swims in the world. Only a handful of people have ever successfully completed the 2.4-mile swim through the notoriously, treacherous waters between the southernmost tip of Chile and Tierra del Fuego. Now we are proud to announce that we have gotten permission from the Chilean authorities to submitt applications for 3 swimmers max. to cross the Straits of Magellan on February 2011. Water World Swim will start working in selecting the three swimmers that will pre-qualify for this crossing. We have worked in organizing and coordinating this event. Our team of coaches are highly experienced with deep knowledge and expertise of the local waters and regions. We also have all of the necessary permits and support of the local authorities to turn your goals into a reality.

Fees:$ 3,550.00 per swimmer

- Processing Permits with Chilean Navy and local authorities
- Coaching Escorting from day of swimmer's arrival to Punta Arenas until swim crossing completion.

Distance: 3 mi | 4.8km
- Transportation from Punta Arenas airport to Bed and Breakfast in center of the city.
- Punta Arenas 4 nights max. at Bed and Breakfast (Hostal Victoria) breakfast included) in the center of City
- Land or Sea Transportation to Punta Delgada (Navy Station, start of the trip across the Straits to Tierra del Fuego Island to the start of the Swim)
- Chilean Navy support during the whole Crossing.
- Coach(es) briefing and supervision to swimmer or swimmers during the entire crossing
- Medical and emergency team rescue stand-by
- Chilean Navy Certificate of completion
- Water World Swim, certificate of completion and introduction to the Open Water Hall of Fame in Chile and San Francisco.
- Chile National and local Press public relations coordination
- Transportation from Bed and Breakfast in Punta Arenas to airport in Chile and Tierra del Fuego.
