Golden Gate Bridge Swim

From the ocean side of the south tower of the GoldenGate Bridge near Ft. Point Beach in San Francisco, under the Golden Gate Bridge to the north tower in Marin County, we offer this rare opportunity to swim one of the most thrilling open water world class competitions ever.

THIS IS A 10 K SWIM COMPETITION (approx.6.0 miles) limited to 30 elite swimmers. Competitors will begin race at the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge and finish at the Bay Bridge (close to the south tower) during a 3.3 knots Flood. (tide West to East) .

This round trip Alcatraz swim will begin on the beach of Aquatic Park, San Francisco. All competitors must touch the rocks of Alcatraz island, before continuing their return swim back to Aquatic Park. This swim will require your strength, open water experience and navigation expertise to route the winning course.
