THIS IS A 3 K SWIM COMPETITION (approx 1.85 miles) limited to 50 elite swimmers. Competitors will begin race at the south of the south tower of the Golden Gate Bridge (close to the south tower) and finish at the Finger point rock during the end of the Flood. (tide West to East) . Only swimmers with extensive open water experience should register.

There will be two divisions, Non-Wetsuit and Wetsuit, for male/female swimmers. All first time swimmers of this race must submit a swim bio or a brief swim resume, and also encouraged to complete a qualifying swim before the race, some swimmers with questionable open water experience will be required to complete one hour swim in Aquatic Park Cove.
